Author Audrey Lee O’Donnell is a dynamic twenty-two-year-old activist, writer, educator, and actress from Providence, RI, currently living in New York City. Driven by a passion for social justice, Audrey began her work in reproductive health and activism at just fourteen. She started at a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion center while volunteering for anti-gun violence organizations. Her focus soon expanded to HIV prevention, where she played a vital role in coordinating public health events and collaborating with a national reproductive health center, where she worked for three years.
Audrey co-founded a youth organization to advocate for safe, legal abortion, organizing impactful protests and community events. She also led initiatives teaching youth about voting rights and voter registration, empowering young people to make informed civic choices. As part of her advocacy in sexual health, she served on youth panels and taught comprehensive sexual health education. In recognition of her efforts, Audrey received the HIV/STI Community Youth Hero Award, honoring her dedication to public health and youth empowerment. Through her work, Audrey continues to inspire others and champion change in reproductive rights and youth activism.
